La Casita (South Bronx) – oldest project of Critical Resistance NYC; started in 2002, CR NYC works with women directly affected by the PIC at La Casita, a rehabilitation center in the South Bronx. Workshops are conducted to train in self-determination and ways to join in the effort to abolish the PIC. Out of this facility, support groups of women have formed to encourage one another in their work of organizing.
