Goals for Group 10
From Social Justice Wiki
the general outline of content that we discussed is as follows: background/historical: started, history (under page History of CAAAV) now: current projects, interviews, structure of org resources: Suggested Reading for CAAAV, location of offices, other Resources/Links,
The interview questions that we came up with are as follows:
- Background* (we should check out the website to see if some of this
info is there before we ask about it, cause that might be easier) What is the structure of CAAAV? Who are the individuals in charge of the different segments? How long has CAAAV existed? What social justice movements have influenced CAAAV? What specific community(ies) does CAAAV service? How does CAAAV connect to and engage this community in the work that it does?
- Personal experience*
How long have you been with CAAAV? What is your title and what particular work have you been doin? What do you think are the strengths and weaknesses of the org? How do you see the work that CAAAV does as fitting into the larger scheme of social justice movements both historically and in present times? How do you see the work connected with work done that is located in other racialized ethnic communities and/or poor and working class communities? Connected internationally? What instances of your work (in the context of community interactions) stand out the most in your mind and why? Has CAAAV been organizing around the HOT 97 incident, if so in what way? Have you personally? What other organizations are you involved in, if any?
