Simone Gaines was born and raised in Queens, New York. Born into a single parent household (father died when she was thirteen) Simone's life has been the story of faith, hope and love in times of the storm. She has been raised in the Christian African Methodist Episcopal Church and finds that spirituality is the key to life. Simone's inspiration is her grandmother Mary France-Daniels and her mother Michele is one of her best friends. At the age of eighteen, Simone welcomed a baby sister into her life (yes her mother got married and had another child after 18 years) by the name of Alexis. Baby Alexis does make SImone feel old at times but she finds everlasting youth in playfulness and the joy that comes from the spirit. Future aspirations dwell in the arts as SImone plans to pursue a career in screenwriting and producing major motion pictures. Life is a constant struggle but with God all things are possible.
